When no desktop is recording — your glasses or phone capture a conversation, or you ask with no desktop online — the hub transcribes and answers itself, with your keys. They are encrypted with a key only the hub holds, used only for your captures and answers, and never shown again.
This hub has no key vault (its operator has not set VAULT_KEY), so it cannot transcribe or answer on its own. Your desktop still can.
